That’s just America - think about the world eh?
The figure is not certain because so many people:
a) are not aware that this exists and put it down to a habit/they are alone with it
b) cannot/have not talk/ed about it - due to it’s nature. I’ve met people who have kept this from their partners for decades…. family… friends.
c) because it’s often discriminated against due to us “doing it to ourselves” - people are unsympathetic. “Trichers”, including myself are bullied and put down (even by professionals) for this because it is so misunderstood.
Trich is not just a physical thing - but a mental thing too.
We cannot die directly from Trichotillomania - but Trich can ignite so many other things such as depression/anxiety - that can lead us that way. It’s not something to be treated lightly.

I’m not saying we should preach about Trich.
People do not have to accept it either - just respect and know that it exists.
The amount of people I talk to/receive emails from, who, prior to my pages/videos were unaware of the millions of fellow Trichers out there - is unbelievable.
If it weren’t for the internet - I wouldn’t know either.
It needs more recognition and more support…
I will continue to talk etc about it. I admit I have my moments, but I will not stop.
Regardless!!!
